Since 2017, Isos Partnership have been working with Professor Qing Gu and the Institute of Education in London on an evaluation, commissioned by the Education Endowment Foundation, of the national EEF Research School Programme. Asked to consider the long-term knock-on impacts of the pandemic on the young, many minds will go to the months of school closure, or the diminished opportunities facing those leaving school into a heavily recessed economy. There is also, however, the need to understand the threats posed to the wellbeing and life chances of the very youngest children.
