Natalie Parish

Natalie specialises in strategy development, problem solving and supporting performance across the full range of children’s services, for both local and national government.
As an Isos Director she has worked extensively both in the UK and abroad on developing strategies for education, literacy, leadership and development education for national governments. At a local level she has worked with authorities to redesign their performance systems, support approaches to localising the delivery of services, and help authorities develop new approaches to structuring and delivering their services in the context of significant policy and financial changes. As an experienced researcher she has led the production of a number of high profile evaluative and analytical publications across children’s services policy areas.
Formerly, as assistant director for strategy and performance in Children’s Services in Tower Hamlets she strengthened the performance function, developing clearer links with commissioning and strategic planning. Before that she worked in the Department for Education (then DCSF) where she led policy development on school improvement and school target setting, worked on implementation of the National Strategies, and helped to build the Schools Directorate Policy and Performance division. She was seconded to Hong Kong for 6 months where she worked as a policy advisor in the Education and Manpower Bureau.
