Sally is an early years expert, with a rich and varied career in national and local governments, charities and academia.

 
 

Sally is currently a Senior Policy Fellow in the Centre for Research on Play in Education, Development and Learning (PEDAL) at the University of Cambridge where she works to mobilise knowledge about early childhood development to inform national and local policy. Prior to this, she spent more than a decade in the charity sector leading teams to develop and implement interventions for families in the early years, and campaigning successfully to drive policy change. Sal started her career as a civil servant working on children’s policy in Westminster where she worked with a number of the Isos Partnership team. She has authored a range of influential policy reports relating to the importance of the earliest years of life and issues affecting families during that time.
